Hi, I'm Karen — founder of the Do Crew and Goodness Marketing.

I started the Do Crew because I kept watching brilliant small business owners know exactly what to do with their marketing and then... not do it.

Not because they weren't capable. Not because they didn't care. But because nobody was sitting down with them and saying: right, let's just do it. Together. Now.

The idea had been brewing for a while. It crystallised on a plane to Cape Town — one of the hardest journeys of my life.

Somewhere over my beloved Africa it became clear what I wanted to build.

Something that made marketing simpler and more human. A space where small businesses could gain the confidence and skills to do marketing that feels good, does good, and gets good results.

When I got back to the UK, building the Do Crew became part of finding my feet again after losing my dad. I'm glad it did.

That was back in 2023. The Do Crew now has around 60 members who show up every week and get their marketing done together. It's one of my favourite things I've ever made.

I bring over two decades of marketing experience to every session — across content, email, brand voice, and ethical marketing strategy — along with a journalism background that shapes how I think about storytelling and audience.
